The Thames Boat Project was a live brief for a client who was looking to adapt a barge boat into an adaptable community space that could travel up and down the Thames river. Our design was informed by our user programme which created workshop and presentation spaces during the day and a performance space at night. The modularity of our grid-like design allowed the freedom to store away or pull out functional furniture which would give the boat its function. Our design was shortlisted to be constructed.
